An unflinching portrait of the American dream
Berliner Ensemble Artistic Director Oliver Reese returns to the The Coronet Theatre following his sold-out production of The Tin Drum to adapt and direct cult icon Scott McClanahan‘s semi-autobiographical “elliptical fever dream” (New York Times) The Sarah Book.
Acclaimed actor Jonathan Slinger (RSC’s The Histories, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Absolute Hell) brings Scott McClanahan to life in this hilarious, unflinching and tragic portrait of a man trying to live the American dream as his world crumbles around him.
Sarah plays at the Coronet Theatre until 17 December 2022.
Scott McClanahan takes us through the journey of a young couple as they fall in love, begin their life together and then fall apart as the marriage breaks down.
