Stage Spy: Jeff Goldblum to star in Wicked movie

Wicked rumours are flying around that Hollywood star Jeff Goldblum is in final talks to star as the Wizard in the forthcoming movie versions of musical Wicked.

Goldblum will be joining a fabulous line-up, including Ariana Grande as Glinda, Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba, and Bridgerton star Jonathan Bailey as Fiyero.

Directed by Jon M. Chu, the two upcoming Wicked movies are set to be released by Universal at Christmas 2024 and Christmas 2025.

Jeff Goldblum is a stage, film and television actor, and a musician. His stage credits include appearing in the Lincoln Center Theater’s production of Domesticated and The Pillowman on Broadway, and in The Prisoner of Second Avenue and Speed the Plow at the Old Vic Theatre in London.
