Agatha Christie’s The Mousetrap – the world’s longest-running play, has extended its run in the West End.
The play is now booking at St Martin’s Theatre in London until 25 November 2023.
The famous crime whodunnit is currently celebrating its 70th birthday, having opened in 1952 – originally at the Ambassador’s Theatre next door.
The play has recently been starring on the big screen, with movie See How They Run set against the backdrop of The Mousetrap celebrating its 100th performance in the 1950’s.
A masterpiece in murder-mystery writing, The Mousetrap sees a group of strangers gathered together in a remote country house only to discover a murderer in their midst.
The current cast includes Eleanor McLoughlin as Mollie Ralston, Greg Lockett as Giles Ralston, George Naylor as Christopher Wren, Pamela Hardman as Mrs. Boyle, Ravi Aujla as Major Metcalf, Lizzie Frain as Miss Casewell, Matthew White as Mr. Paravicini and Daniel Solbe as Detective Sergeant Trotter. Other cast include Elliot Coombe, Kate Cresswell, Bella Farr, Clive Marlowe and Thomas Wingfield.
The Mousetrap is written by Agatha Christie, and directed by Ian Talbot.
