Mamma Mia! at the Novello Theatre in London welcomes new members of cast on stage today – 10 October 2022.
Meg Hateley – daughter of West End star Linzi Hateley (Mamma Mia!, Carrie, Joseph and the Tenchincolor Dreamcoat)- and Miles Henderson make their West End debut tonight as Sophie and Sky.
Other new cast joining in tonight include Norman Bowman (Les Misérables, Guys & Dolls, 42nd Street) as Sam, Christopher Dickins (Witness for the Prosecution, Oklahoma!) as Harry, Natasha Heyward as Ali, Olivia Lallo as Lisa, Lucca Chadwick-Patel (Legally Blonde, The Magician’s Elephant) as Eddie and Jake Bailey (Call the Midwife, Matilda the Musical, Oliver!) as Pepper, with Jennifer Adab playing Donna at certain performances.
Mazz Murray will continue her run as Donna, with Josie Benson as Tanya, Gemma Goggin as Rosie and Stephen Beckett as Bill.
Also continuing in the cast are Gemma Atkins, Natalie Jayne Hall, Jennifer Hepburn, Frankie Jones, Natalie Langston, Michael Storrs and Simon Willmont. They will be joined by Zac Adlam, Victoria Anderson, Sinéad Courtney, Ellie-Grace Cousins, Lawrence Guntert, David Haydn, Olivia Neville, Annell Odartey, Jessie Odeleye, Callum Rose, Jack Rose, Robert Slatter, Jacob Young, Chloe Way and Dan Wilshire.
The show premiered in London in 1999, and continues to take the world by storm with multiple productions around the world and two blockbuster movies in the can. Featuring ABBA’s timeless pop classics, the show has been seen live on stage by over 65 million people. The London show, which has been seen by over 10 million people and played over 9,000 performances celebrated its 23rd birthday in April 2022.
With music & lyrics by Benny Andersson & Björn Ulvaeus, Mamma Mia! is written by Catherine Johnson, directed by Phyllida Lloyd and choreographed by Anthony Van Laast. The production is designed by Mark Thompson, with lighting design by Howard Harrison, sound design by Andrew Bruce & Bobby Aitken, and musical supervision, additional material & arrangements by Martin Koch.
