Best of Enemies, James Graham’s latest political play will open in the West End this November, it has been confirmed.
Casting and venue for the West End transfer is to be revealed. The Young Vic production starred David Harewood (Homeland, Blood Diamond, Supergirl) and Charles Edwards (The Crown, Downton Abbey, the forthcoming TV adaptation of The Lord of the Rings).
The sold-out hit from the Young Vic and Headlong, which originally premiered at the Young Vic in December 2021, examines the bitter political rivalry between William F Buckley Jr. and Gore Vidal. The drama is directed by Jeremy Herrin.
Best of Enemies is nominated for a South Bank Sky Arts Award for Best New Theatre Production, the awards take place on Sunday. The play was also nominated for an Olivier Award and won the Critics Circle Theatre Award for Best New Play.
