The Lehman Trilogy will return to London’s West End in early 2023, it has been announced.
The smash-hit show is currently the toast of Broadway having won five Tony Awards at the 75th Annual Tony Awards, which were hosted by Oscar winner Ariana DeBose on 12 June 2022.
Whilst casting for the UK production is to be announced, the Broadway show starred Simon Russell Beale – who won the Tony Award for Best Actor in a Play – Adam Godley and Adrian Lester, who were also nominated for their performances. The Broadway production also picked up Best Director for Sam Mendes (SkyFall, American Beauty, 1917), Best New Play, Best Set Design for Es Devlin and Best Lighting Design for Jon Clark.
The original National Theatre production in London starred Simon Russell Beale, Adam Godley and Ben Miles, who were previously announced to reprise their performances when the UK revival was first announced in 2019.
Adapted by Ben Power’s from Stefano Massini’s story, The Lehman Trilogy looks at two centuries of the Lehman family, from the moment a young man from Bavaria arrives in New York, to 163 years later when the firm he and his brothers established collapses.
The Lehman Trilogy will return to London’s West End in early 2023. Tickets on sale soon.
