The smash-hit comedy musical Operation Mincemeat is to transfer to the Riverside Studios in Hammersmith, London.
Following sold-out runs at the New Diorama Theatre in 2019 and Southwark Playhouse at various points during 2020 – 2022, the sleeper hit will play at the Riverside Studios from 28 April to 9 July 2022.
Billed as Singin’ in the Rain meets Strangers on a Train, and Noel Coward meets Noel Fielding, Operation Mincemeat is a fast-paced, hilarious and totally unbelievable true story about the twisted secret mission that won us World War II. The question is, how did a well-dressed corpse wrong-foot Hitler?
Written and composed by SpitLip, and directed by Donnacadh O’Briain, the show stars David Cumming, Claire-Marie Hall, Natasha Hodgson, Jak Malone, and Zoe Roberts.
The show features choreography by Jenny Arnold, set and costume design by Helen Coyston, sound design by Mike Walker and lighting by Sherry Coenen.
A new movie called Operation Mincemeat, released by Warner Bros. and starring Colin Firth, is set to be released in April 2022. The WWII drama is directed by Shakespeare in Love director John Madden, adapted from Ben McIntyre’s novel by screenwriter Michelle Ashford.
