The Play That Goes Wrong, the Olivier Award winning West End comedy playing at the Duchess Theatre in London has announced a new booking period. Tickets are now on sale through Sunday 2 April 2023.
Awarded the 2014 WhatsOnStage Award for Best New Comedy, the 2015 Olivier Award for Best New Comedy and a Tony Award for the Broadway transfer, The Play That Goes Wrong continues to delight audiences in the West End. In August 2021 it became the longest ever running play at The Duchess Theatre (since the theatre opened in 1929), and is the longest running comedy in the West End. The show is currently blundering its way through its 8th year in the West End.
The current lead cast at the Duchess Theatre include Blayar Benn, Tom Bulpett, Oliver Clayton, Michael Keane, David Kirkbride, Jack Michael Stacey, Ciara Morris and Elena Valentine. Completing the West End cast are Rosemarie Akwafo, Euan Bennet, Colin Burnicle, Sally Cheng and Damien James.

The show is a slapstick comedy that follows an amateur dramatic society as they attempt to put on a 1920’s themed murder mystery show with disastrous results. What can go wrong, does with hilarious effect in this traditional farce.
Other show extensions include Hamilton at the Victoria Palace Theatre ( 10 July 2022); Mary Poppins at the Prince Edward Theatre (10 July 2022); Tina – The Tina Turner Musical at the Aldwych Theatre (18 December 2022); Disney’s Frozen at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane (22 October 2022); Moulin Rouge! The Musical at the Piccadilly Theatre (23 July 2022); Six The Musical at the Vaudeville Theatre (2 April 2023); Magic Mike Live at the London Hippodrome (1 January 2023); Heathers The Musical at The Other Palace Theatre (1 May 2022); and Witness for the Prosecution at London’s County Hall (27 September 2022).
The Play That Goes Wrong is booking until 2 April 2023 at The Duchess Theatre, London.
