The London production of Mary Poppins is set to delight audiences for a while longer as the smash hit show extends its run at the Prince Edward Theatre. The new booking period will run until 10 July 2022, with tickets now on sale.
Disney and Cameron Mackintosh’s spectacular big budget stage show stars Zizi Strallen in the iconic title role with Charlie Stemp (Half A Sixpence) as Bert and sixties singer Petula Clark as the Bird Woman. The lead cast also features Charlie Anson as George Banks, Amy Griffiths as Winifred Banks, Liz Robertson as Miss Andrew, Claire Machin as Mrs Brill, Jack North as Robertson Ay and Paul F. Monaghan as Admiral Boom and Bank Chairman.
The much loved musical features a magical score by Richard M Sherman and Robert B Sherman including the songs Jolly Holiday, Step in Time, Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious and Feed the Birds with new songs and additional music and lyrics by the Olivier award-winning British team of George Stiles and Anthony Drewe.
The magical story of the world’s favourite Nanny is triumphantly and spectacularly brought to the stage with dazzling choreography, incredible effects and unforgettable songs.
