Dallas legend Patrick Duffy (The Man from Atlantis; Step by Step) and Linda Purl (Happy Days; Homeland) will fly in from Hollywood next year to star in a new production of the classic Broadway thriller Catch Me If You Can. Tickets for the production are on sale now.
Set in the Catskill Mountains in upstate New York, the highly entertaining drama follows an inspector who is sent to investigate the disappearance of a newly married lady. When she suddenly reappears, much to her husband’s surprise, a baffling train of events begins in which nothing is what it seems. Written by Jack Weinstock and Willie Gilbert, Catch Me If You Can is adapted from Robert Thomas’s French play Trap for a Lonely Man.
The cast will also feature Gray O’Brien– best known for his portrayal of villainous Weatherfield businessman Tony Gordon in Coronation Street – and Ben Nealon, who played Captain Jeremy Forsythe in ITV’s award-winning series Soldier Soldier.
Catch Me If You Can will embark on its nationwide tour, opening at the Theatre Royal, Windsor on 8 February 2022 . The show will travel to Belfast, Cardiff, Blackpool, Darlington, Malvern, Mold, Milton Keynes, Richmond, Birmingham, Eastbourne, Bath, Cambridge, Salford, Aylesbury, Guildford, Bromley and Glasgow. A West End transfer has not yet been announced.
Catch Me If You Can is directed by Bob Tomson (Blood Brothers, Scrooge, Evita, On The Piste), with design byJulie Godfrey (How The Other Half Loves, Pack of Lies, Rehearsal for Murder) and lighting by Chris Davey (Witness for the Prosecution, the Car Man, Touching the Void). The production is produced by Bill Kenwright Productions.
