TV Guide 2021 Actor and singer John Barrowman is back on TV this Christmas 2021, with an All Star Musicals celebrity talent show special.
All-Star Musicals At Christmas will be a two-parter, the first airing on ITV on Boxing Day, 26 December 2021 at 8pm, and sees Barrowman host the singing competition where celebrities attempt songs from West End musicals.
Celebs up for the challenge in the first episode are Professor T, actor Ben Miller, Corrie’s Catherine Tyldesley, broadcaster Gyles Brandreth, sport reporter Radzi Chinyanganya, and presenters Anita Rani and Fern Britton.
Another six celebs will appear in episode two,which is apparently planned for early 2022.
They are all judged by theatrical experts Elaine Paige, Samantha Barks, current star of Frozen The Musical at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane, and Trevor Dion Nicholas (Hamilton at the Victoria Palace Theatre).
All this plus the show promises to open with a The Greatest Showman medley!
Other West End TV this Christmas 2021 includes the recent Barbican production of Anything Goes and a tribute concert to Stephen Sondheim on BBC, and Cameron Mackintosh’s West End production of Half a Sixpence (called Kipps for TV) on Sky Arts.
