First look images of Eddie Redmayne, Jessie Buckley and Omari Douglas in character have been released ahead of the first preview performance of Cabaret in London tonight. Tickets for Cabaret are now on sale through 22 May 2022.
The opening of the Playhouse Theatre renamed the Kit Kat Club tonight completes the full reopening of the West End as the last major theatrical venue to open. The West End revival of Cabaret stars Eddie Redmayne as ‘The Emcee’ alongside Jessie Buckley as ‘Sally Bowles’ and Omari Douglas as ‘Cliff Bradshaw’.
One of the most successful musicals of all time Cabaret features the songs Wilkommen, Don’t Tell Mama, Mein Herr, Maybe This Time, Money and the title number.
Directed by Rebecca Frecknall, this new immersive production will see the Playhouse Theatre in London adapted into the round by producers, with table seating available for guests, as well as three course, pre-show dining at cabaret tables.
The main cast is rounded out by Liza Sadovy as ‘Fraulein Schneider’, Elliot Levey as ‘Herr Schultz’, Stewart Clarke as ‘Ernst Ludwig’.
The company is completed by Josh Andrews, Emily Benjamin, Sally Frith, Matthew Gent, Emma Louise Jones, Ela Lisondra, Theo Maddix, Chris O’Mara, Daniel Perry, Andre Refig, Christopher Tendai, Bethany Terry, Lillie-Pearl Wildman and Sophie Maria Wojna.
Cabaret is booking until 22 May 2022 at the Playhouse Theatre, London.
