Jamie New is sixteen and lives on a council estate in Sheffield. Jamie doesn’t quite fit in. Jamie is terrified about the future. Jamie is going to be a sensation.

Supported by his brilliant loving mum and surrounded by his friends, Jamie overcomes prejudice, beats the bullies and steps out of the darkness, into the spotlight.

Ashcon Rahmani as Jamie New: Originally from Rotherham, Ashcon is a recent graduate of The Urdang Academy. After training extensively in musical theatre for the past six years, he is making his professional debut as Jamie New in the 10th anniversary production of Everybody’s Talking About Jamie.

Rebecca Trehearn as Margaret New: Rebecca won the 2017 Laurence Olivier Award for ‘Best Supporting Actress in a Musical’ for her performance as Julie in Showboat. Her other extensive theatre credits include Ghost the Musical, Dogfight and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Cinderella. Rebecca Trehearn also has extensive television credits, including the role of Cheryl in Pobol Y Cwm (BBC Wales).
