The award-winning creators behind Beauty and the Beast: A Horny Love Story return to the Charing Cross Theatre this festive season with new panto Cinderella: Buttons Undone! The adult pantomime reimagines the classic fairy tale in the modern day.
Panto season is on the horizon, and a new contender has been announced for the Charing Cross Theatre this holiday season. The wickedly funny Cinderella: Buttons Undone! will play at the London venue from 21 November 2026 until 9 January 2027.
The adult pantomime sees the classic tale of Cinderella transported to the faded resort town of Lob-on-Sea, where hotel maid Cindy must put up with her gangster stepmother Ida Bigschitt, her stepsiblings Mercedes and Bentley and a hefty work load.

The team behind Cinderella: Buttons Undone!
Matthew Baldwin, returning as the company’s incomparable dame, is set to star as Mercedes while Chris Lane stars as her brother Bentley.
The panto is co-written by Jon Bradfield (Animal, Queers) and Martin Hooper (Ghosted) and will feature original songs by Bradfield.
Directed by Andrew Beckett (Dr Seuss’ Cat in the Hat, Come Dine with Me: The Musical), the creative team also includes direction and orchestrations by Aaron Clingham and choreography by Carole Todd, who’s extensive panto career includes directing Lily Savage in Snow White.
