Wicked has announced an extension for their hit West End run currently playing at the Apollo Victoria Theatre in London. The news comes as the groundbreaking production celebrates 20 years in the West End.
Since it premiered on 27 September 2006, Wicked has become one of London’s most popular and beloved musicals. The Apollo Victoria Theatre is a staple destination to tourists and Londoner alike, with crowds descending to hear iconic songs like ‘Popular,’ ‘The Wizard and I’ and of course, ‘Defying Gravity’ night after night.
The hit production has today announced an extension of the run: currently booking until 3 January 2027, the production will release tickets through May 2027.

20 Years of Wicked in the West End
Wicked is celebrating 20 years in the West End this September. The production has planned a series of celebrations to take place at the Apollo Victoria over the weekend of 26-27 September 2026.
The enormously talented 20th anniversary cast was announced also been announced and took over in May of this year. It will feature:
- Emma Kingston (Heathers) as Elphaba
- Zizi Strallen (Mary Poppins) as Glinda
- Jordan Litz (West Side Story) as Fiyero
- Claire Machin (Les Misérables, The Girls) as Madame Morrible
- Michael Matus (Singin’ in the Rain) as The Wizard
- Ross Carpenter (The Book of Mormon) as Boq
- Yara Fabricante (West End debut) as Nessarose
- David McKechnie (Standing at the Sky’s Edge) as Doctor Dillamond
The alternates for Elphaba and Glinda are Laura Emmitt (Frozen), and Lydia Gerrard (The Phantom of the Opera) respectively.
