The new London cast recording of Olivier Award-winning show Paddington The Musical has become the fastest-selling physical West End Original Cast Recording of the 21st century.
Decca Records released the physical album of the official cast recording of Paddington The Musical on vinyl, CD, and Yoto on 22 May 2026. The album went straight into the official UK compilation chart at Number One.
Ahead of the physical album release, the digital release was brought forward to 10 April 2026.

Recorded at the legendary Abbey Road Studios with a full orchestra, the album features the complete West End cast performing the score by Tom Fletcher (McFly). The recording is arranged, orchestrated, and produced by Matt Brind (Come Alive!).
President of Decca Records Laura Monks said in a statement: “From the moment we heard these songs… these incredible earworms… these EPIC musical joy bringers… we knew they were destined to be instant hits. Tom and the team have created music that will delight listeners across the globe for generations to come.”

A West End success story
Since opening at the Savoy Theatre, Paddington The Musical has become a critical and commercial juggernaut. The show recently made history by winning an incredible seven Olivier Awards at the Royal Albert Hall in London, including the prestigious Best New Musical award.
Such is the demand for tickets to Paddington, that producers of the show recently added a full year of additional performances to the schedule, with the musical now booking at the Savoy Theatre until 13 February 2028.

Directed by Luke Sheppard (& Juliet, Starlight Express), the musical features a book by Jessica Swale and music and lyrics by Tom Fletcher.
The show is based on the much-loved Paddington stories by Michael Bond and the hit PADDINGTON film, by special arrangement with STUDIOCANAL. The stage production is produced by Sonia Friedman Productions, STUDIOCANAL, and Eliza Lumley Productions on behalf of Universal Music UK.
