A new production of Mike Bartlett’s acclaimed drama Bull is coming to the Park Theatre in London this autumn 2026 from Deafinitely Theatre.
Bull will run at the Park Theatre from 30 September to 24 October 2026.
The production is in association with the Birmingham Rep, where it will play from 12 to 19 September, and HOME Manchester from 24 to 26 September 2026.
The announcement comes during Sign Language Week, and Bull will be directed by Deafinitely Theatre’s Artistic Director Paula Garfield MBE, in their renowned bilingual style combining British Sign Language, spoken English and creative captions.
Mike Bartlett’s drama explores how people will do anything to survive when the stakes are high.
Paula Garfield said in a statement that “Bartlett’s work exposes the pressure and cruelty that can exist in everyday life” and that Bull feels “especially relevant today as job security becomes more uncertain. The play shows how fear can change people’s behaviour; it is about how ambition, self-protection and silence can turn people into opponents.”
Mike Bartlett is an award-winning playwright and screenwriter. His plays include Cock, King Charles III, and recent West End hit, Unicorn starring Nicola Walker.
His TV credits include Doctor Foster starring Suranne Jones.
