Noah Mullins will star alongside Mark Addy and Jenna Russell in the West End premiere of The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry.
The acclaimed new musical is based on Rachel Joyce’s best-selling novel and features music and lyrics by Mike Rosenberg known professionally as Passenger, .
Harold Fry plays a limited run at Theatre Royal Haymarket in London from 29 January to 18 April 2026.
Announced today at a launch event at The Barrel Project in London, Mullins will make his West End debut as The Balladeer in what The Times hailed as a “pitch-perfect musical” with “a ravishing score.”

Rising star Noah Mullins joins the journey
A rising talent in musical theatre, Noah Mullins made their professional debut aged 19 as Riff in an international tour of West Side Story. Their credits include Jean-Michel in La Cage Aux Folles, Banjo in Banjo Paterson, and the original company of Jagged Little Pill, inspired by Alanis Morissette’s Grammy-winning album.
In 2024, Mullins won critical praise for their performance as Mark in Rent, followed by an acclaimed portrayal of Orpheus in Hadestown (Opera Australia/Jones Theatrical), directed by Rachel Chavkin.
Jack Wolfe (Next to Normal) previously played The Balladeer when the musical premiered at Chichester Festival Theatre in the summer.

About The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry
Adapted by Rachel Joyce from her internationally acclaimed novel, The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry tells the story of an ordinary man who embarks on an extraordinary journey across England, discovering love, loss and redemption along the way.
The musical reunites Mark Addy (The Full Monty, Game of Thrones) and Jenna Russell (Sunday in the Park with George, Hello, Dolly!) who reprise their roles as Harold and Maureen Fry from the show’s acclaimed Chichester Festival Theatre run.
Joyce said: “I couldn’t be more thrilled that this joyful show has found a home in the West End. I never imagined, when I first wrote the book, that it would become a musical one day — and never in my wildest dreams did I think it might find a home in one of my favourite theatres, the Theatre Royal Haymarket. Passenger’s music and lyrics are perfect for this story of hope, as is Katy Rudd’s magical direction.”
Directed by Katy Rudd (Ballet Shoes), the production features design by Samuel Wyer, choreography by Tom Jackson Greaves, orchestration by Jeremy Holland-Smith, musical supervision by Phil Bateman, lighting by Paule Constable, sound design by Ian Dickinson and Gareth Tucker for Autograph, and video design by Ash J Woodward.
The musical is co-created by Rachel Joyce, Peter Darling and Katy Rudd, and presented by Chris Harper Productions, Nick Sidi and Access Entertainment.

What’s on at the Theatre Royal Haymarket
Currently playing at the Theatre Royal Haymarket is a new production of Othello starring David Harewood, Toby Jones & Caitlin FitzGerald, running until 17 January 2026. This will be followed by Harold Fry and then David Hare’s new play Grace Pervades starring Ralph Fiennes and Miranda Raison
