Shakespeare’s Globe has announced the full cast for its new musical Pinocchio, which opens in the Globe Theatre on 29 November 2025 and runs throughout the festive season until 4 January 2026. The production is directed by the Globe’s Associate Artistic Director Sean Holmes, with a book and lyrics by Charlie Josephine (Cowbois, RSC / Royal Court) and music and lyrics by Jim Fortune (Mr Gum and the Dancing Bear).
The title role of Pinocchio will be played by Lee Braithwaite (Cowbois, RSC / Royal Court), with Nick Holder (London Road, National Theatre) as Geppetto, Lucy McCormick (Wuthering Heights, National Theatre) as the Blue Fairy/Cat, and Steven Webb (The Book of Mormon, West End) as Jiminy Cricket/Coachman.
Also joining the company are Ed Gaughan (Black Mirror, Channel 4) as Stromboli, Kerry Frampton (Midsummer Mechanicals, Globe) as Fox, and Michael Elcock (Romeo and Juliet, Globe) as Carpenter/Rabbit Prince Charming.

Alongside preparations for Pinocchio, Shakespeare’s Globe is currently staging Twelfth Night (until 25 October 2025) and Troilus and Cressida (until 26 October 2025).
