Producers of Back to the Future The Musical in London have announced a new West End cast for the show at the Adelphi Theatre.
Back to the Future is currently booking at the Adelphi Theatre to 3 January 2026.
New cast recently announced includes Brian Conley (9 to 5 The Musical, Hairspray), who will play Doctor Emmett Brown from 13 August 2025, for a strictly limited 12-week run. Current Doc Brown, Cory English, will return to the role from Wednesday 5 November 2025. Announced last week, TikTok star Maddie Grace Jepson will take over the role of Lorraine Baines from Sarah Goggin in the show, also from 13 August 2025.
Current star of the show Caden Brauch, who plays Marty McFly, is staying with the show.
The cast will also feature Orlando Gibbs as George McFly, CJ Borger as Goldie Wilson / Marvin Berry, Alex Runicles as Biff Tannen, Talia Palamathanan as Jennifer Parker, Lee Ormsby as Strickland / Alternate Doc Brown, Liam McHugh as Dave McFly and Billie Bowman, Gracie Caine as Linda McFly, Oliver Halford as Alternate Marty McFly, and Billie Bowman as Clocktower Woman.
The Ensemble will include Ryan Appiah-Sarpong, Jed Berry, Jabari Braham, Charlotte Coggin, Sia Dauda (& Fight Captain), Lauren Dawes, Talia Duff, Thomas Inge, Stephen Lewis-Johnston, Issie Wilman, and Alexandra Wright; and the Swings will be Alexander Day (& Dance Captain), Helen Gulston (& Assistant Fight Captain), Adam Margilewski, Anna Murray (& Assistant Dance Captain), Samuel Nicholas, Brian Ó’MuirÃ, and Phoebe Roberts.

Back to the Future is based on the Universal Pictures/Amblin Entertainment film, and has a book by Bob Gale and new music and lyrics by Emmy and Grammy Award-winning Alan Silvestri and six-time Grammy Award-winning Glen Ballard, with additional songs from the film including The Power of Love and Johnny B. Goode.

This Olivier Award-winning Best New Musical is directed by Tony Award-winning director John Rando (Urinetown, On The Town), alongside the multi Tony and Olivier Award-winning design team of Tim Hatley (set and costume design), Tim Lutkin (lighting), Hugh Vanstone (lighting consultant), Gareth Owen (sound) and Finn Ross (video), with choreography by Chris Bailey, musical supervision and arrangements by Nick Finlow and Illusions by Chris Fisher. Orchestrations are by Ethan Popp and Bryan Crook, with dance arrangements by David Chase. Casting is by David Grindrod CDG for Grindrod Burton Casting.
Now in its 4th year in London, having opened at the Adelphi Theatre in September 2021, this year also marks the 40th anniversary of the original movie, starring Michael J Fox.
