Directed by Dominic Cooke, Mrs Warren’s Profession is now playing the Garrick Theatre in London, until 16 August 2025.
The cast features real-life mother and daughter, five-time Olivier Award-winner Imelda Staunton (Hello, Dolly!, Harry Potter) as Mrs Kitty Warren, and Bessie Carter (Bridgerton, Outrageous) as Vivie Warren.

The cast also includes stage and screen Robert Glenister (Hustle; Spooks; The Seagull, Harold Pinter Theatre) as Sir George Crofts; alongside Kevin Doyle (Fanny and Alexander, The Old Vic) as the Reverend Samuel Gardner, Reuben Joseph (Hamilton, West End) as Frank Gardner, and Sid Sagar (Ballet Shoes, National Theatre) as Mr. Praed.

Director Dominic Cooke is reuniting with Imelda Staunton for the play, following acclaimed productions of Hello, Dolly! at the London Palladium, and Follies at the National Theatre.

Shaw’s controversial play is centred on Cambridge graduate Vivie Warren (Bessie Carter), who discovers that her mother, Kitty (Imelda Staunton) has made her fortune from running brothels.
