Hampstead Theatre has announced the full cast for House of Games, a new production of Richard Bean’s adaptation of the David Mamet noir thriller.
House of Games is directed by Jonathan Kent, and is running at Hampstead Theatre from 2 May to 7 June 2025.
The production will star Lisa Dillon (Cranford, Downton Abbey 3, Farewell Mister Haffmann, The Master Builder) as Dr Margaret Ford, with Richard Harrington (Hinterland, The Promise) as Mike, and Oscar Lloyd (Stranger Things: The First Shadow) as Billy.
They are joined by Joanna Brookes (The Gift) as Kathleen, Robin Soans (Uncle Vanya) as Joey, Siôn Tudor Owen (White Christmas) as George, Kelly Price (The Sex Party) as Trudi, Laurence Ubong Williams (The Motive and the Cue) as PJ, and Andrew Whipp (F*ck the Polar Bears) as Bobby.

In the play, celebrated psychoanalyst and author Dr Margaret Ford has a new client. Billy needs help: he’s addicted to sex, drugs and most dangerously, gambling big money at an illicit poker lounge, the House of Games. Dr Ford also happens to be in search of subject matter for her next bestseller – a search which takes her deep into Chicago’s underworld and into the path of Mike, a charismatic gambler. A complex game commences, in which even the players themselves don’t know the rules, their roles, or who will be left holding the trump card…
This gripping adaptation of David Mamet’s noir thriller is by award-winner Richard Bean (One Man, Two Guvnors).
Joining Jonathan Kent in the creative team are designer Ashley Martin-Davis, costume designer Deborah Andrews, lighting designer Peter Mumford, sound designer Paul Groothuis, and casting director Juliet Horsley CDG.
House of Games is running at Hampstead Theatre from 2 May to 7 June 2025.
Currently playing at Hampstead Theatre is Apex Predator, until 26 April 2025.
