Felicity Kendal interview: Filumena (The Sunday Times)

Felicity: When I was 12 my sister, Jennifer, who was 12 years older than me, fell madly in love with an actor called Shashi Kapoor. Shashi joined our father’s travelling theatre company in India when he was about 19, and it was the most wonderful, romantic love affair. He became one of the most famous actors in the country — he made art movies as well as Bollywood films, and couldn’t go anywhere without being mobbed — but he was always gracious and kind. They were the most gorgeous couple and their children, Kunal, Karan and Sanjana, were all absolutely gorgeous too….
