The Duchess (of Malfi), coming to the West End’s Trafalgar Theatre in London, has announced further casting.
Already announced is the show’s star, Jodie Whittaker (Doctor Who, Broadchurch).
She will be joined by Joel Fry (Bank of Dave, Cruella, Plebs), Elizabeth Ayodele, Hannah Visocchi (The Undertow), Matti Houghton (Macbeth), Hubert Burton (Noises Off), and Jude Owusu (To Kill a Mockingbird ).
The cast will also star Rory Fleck Byrne, Matti Houghton, Kerill Kelly, Greg Snowden, and Amy Vicary-Smith, with final casting to be announced.
The children’s cast will include Baylie Agbonlahor, Christopher Azzopardi, Céleste Fraser, Flor Gandra-Lobina, Hugh Holden, Erin Jemmotte, Isaac Vasunia and Malakai Young.
Zinnie Harris (Macbeth (an undoing)) adapts and directs this acclaimed and powerfully modern production, based on John Webster’s classic The Duchess of Malfi.
Joining Zinnie Harris in the creative team are: Set & Costume Designer Tom Piper; Co-Costume Designer & Associate Set Designer Max Johns; Lighting Designer Ben Ormerod; Composer Oguz Kaplangi; Sound Designer MJ McCarthy; Video and Projection Designer Jamie MacDonald; Casting Director Serena Hill; and Children’s Casting Debbie O’Brien.

The Duchess (of Malfi) is playing a limited 11 weeks season at the Trafalgar Theatre from 5 October to 20 December 2024.
