Sarah Snook: ‘I’d have been just as happy if I hadn’t played Shiv Roy’
Succession gave the actress the role of a lifetime – now she’s following it up with a one-woman take on Dorian Gray
Although the Australian actress Sarah Snook lives 10,000 miles or so away, her arrival in a West End production of The Picture of Dorian Gray feels to her like a kind of homecoming. After all, she tells me, she’s following in the footsteps of her maternal grandmother, Philippa Robins, who was a British theatre actress in the 1930s until “the war broke out just after she started a job in South Africa and she couldn’t get back – so she emigrated to New Zealand”.
