Full casting has been announced for Hampstead Theatre’s revival of Tom Stoppard’s Rock ‘n’ Roll.

Directed by multi-award winner Nina Raine (Tiger Country; Longing), Rock ‘n’ Roll stars Nancy Carroll (The Moderate Soprano; Olivier and Evening Standard Award Best Actress winner for After The Dance) as Eleanor, Jacob Fortune-Lloyd (The Queen’s Gambit; Bodies) as Jan and Nathaniel Parker (The Inspector Lynley Mysteries; Olivier Award Best Actor in a Supporting Role winner for Wolf Hall) as Max. Joining them are Hasan Dixon, Phoebe Horn, Anna Krippa, Georgia Landers, Emily Mytton, Brenock O’Connor and Colin Tierney to complete the company.

Stoppard’s acclaimed play explores the themes of liberty, rebellion and identity through the lens of rock music and its impact on the political and cultural landscape of both England and Czechoslovakia from 1968 to 1990.

A dazzling and moving tribute to the power of music and the human spirit in times of oppression and change, Rock ‘n’ Roll runs from 13 December until 27 January 2024.
