Mackenzie Crook recently returned to the West End stage to reprise his acclaimed performance of Ginger in Jez Butterworth’s acclaimed play Jerusalem at the Apollo Theatre, alongside Mark Rylance as Johnny Rooster.

Mackenzie Crook is a successful screen and stage actor.

His awards include Writers Guild Awards 2019, Rose D’Or 2018, and BAFTA Awards 2015 for Detectorists on BBC; and Tony and Olivier nominations in 2010 for his role in Jerusalem.

Theatre credits include The Recruiting Officer (The Donmar Warehouse), Jerusalem (Music Box Theatre, New York), Aliens (The Bush Theatre), Jerusalem (Apollo Theatre, London and Royal Court), The Seagull Walter (Kerr Theatre, New York, Royal Court Theatre London), Exonerated (Riverside Studios), and One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest (Edinburgh & West End).

Hi long list of film credits include Pirates of the Caribbean 1, 2 & 3, Finding Never Land, and The Life and Death of Peter Sellers.

TV includes Worzel Gummidge (BBC1), Britannia (Sky/ Amazon), Watership Down (BBC1), Roald Dalh’s Most Marvellous Book (Channel 4), Yonderland (Sky 1), Ordinary Lies (BBC1), Detectorists (BBC4/BBC2), Almost Human (Fox), Game of Thrones (Sky Atlantic), Accused (BBC1), Merlin (BBC1), Taking The Flack (BBC2), Skins (E4), Demons (ITV1), Little Dorrit (BBC1), and  The Office (series 1 & 2 and specials, BBC2).

Mackenzie is also a successful writer and director on shows including Worzel Gummidge (BBC1), and Detectorists (BBC4).
