David Oakes stars in Venus in Fur at the Theatre Royal Haymarket
David Oakes is best known for portraying Juan Borgia in the Emmy Award-winning Showtime Original series The Borgias. His other notable television roles include playing William Hamleigh in Emmy Award-winning mini-series The Pillars of the Earth, George, Duke of Clarence in BBC’s The White Queen, and most recently as Prince Ernest in ITV’s Victoria.
He will also appear in the film adaptation of Albert Sánchez Piñol’s thriller Cold Skin set for release later this year.
David’s theatre credits include Kit Marlowe in Shakespeare In Love (Nöel Coward Theatre), Mr Darcy in Pride and Prejudice (Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre), All The Little Things We Crushed (Almeida Theatre), We the People and Love’s Labour’s Lost both for Shakespeare’s Globe.
David will play Thomas Novachek inVenus in Fur – an intoxicating dark comedy of desire, fantasy and the innate love of fur.
