Miss Bennet: Christmas at Pemberley in London

Following a sell-out run in Chicago, Lauren Gunderson and Margot Melcon’s Miss Bennet: Christmas at Pemberley will have its UK premiere at Park Theatre this festive season.

The production reunites Park Theatre with Adam Blanshay Productions – the team behind last year’s hit Christmas show Dracapella – for a Park200 main-house staging running from 2 December 2026 to 10 January 2027.

The play catches up with the Bennet family two years after the events of Pride and Prejudice as they gather at Pemberley for Christmas. While Elizabeth and Jane appear to have settled into the lives they always wanted, middle sister Mary, often perceived as the novel’s most overlooked character, remains stuck playing the role everyone expects of her: the awkward one, the afterthought. That changes with the arrival of Lord Arthur de Bourgh, however, who offers Mary the possibility of a very different future.

Miss Bennet: Christmas at Pemberley is both a loving continuation of Austen’s world and a fresh, contemporary drama in its own right, so it is as suited to newcomers as to devoted Austen fans.

Book Miss Bennet: Christmas at Pemberley tickets

Tickets for Miss Bennet: Christmas at Pemberley can be booked now for its run at Park Theatre, London, from 2 December 2026 to 10 January 2027. As a Christmas-themed show with a limited run over the festive period, expect strong demand for weekend and matinee performances in the run-up to Christmas and New Year. Early booking is recommended.

Jump into the world of Pride and Prejudice this Christmas from a new perspective – that of Bennett sister Mary Bennet. Mary remains trapped by the role everyone has written for her: the awkward sister, the afterthought, and the woman no one expects to surprise them when the Bennett family reunites for the festive season at Pemberley. But things change for Mary when Lord Arthur de Bourgh arrives for the festivities, offering her the possibility of a wholly different future.

Miss Bennet: Christmas at Pemberley gives Jane Austen’s most overlooked heroine the story she was never allowed to have. The play explores identity, belonging and the quiet courage it takes to rewrite your own narrative. Written by Lauren Gunderson, one of the most produced playwrights in America, and Margot Melcon, Miss Bennet: Christmas at Pemberley played to sell-out houses in Chicago before this UK premiere.
What to Expect

Miss Bennet: Christmas at Pemberley is a warm, witty and character-driven show that blends festive comedy with genuine emotional depth, as Mary Bennet finally steps out from her sisters’ shadows.
