Smash-hit West End musical Wicked will celebrate its 19th anniversary at the Apollo Victoria Theatre on Saturday 27 September, and has announced a landmark booking extension through to Sunday 3 January 2027. To mark the occasion, the production has released “5 Minute Call,” a specially commissioned photo series by Danny Kaan capturing company members in the final moments before curtain up.
Currently starring Emma Kingston (Elphaba) and Zizi Strallen (Glinda) with Carl Man (Fiyero), Sarah Ingram (Madame Morrible) and Michael Matus (The Wizard), Wicked continues its record-breaking London run. Since opening in 2006, the musical has become the 10th longest-running West End production, seen by more than 13 million people in London and honoured with over 100 global awards.
The new Kaan collection sits alongside a refreshed trailer and underlines Wicked’s enduring status as, in the words of BBC News, “one of the most successful musicals of all time.”
The show imagines the untold story of the Witches of Oz, charting how two unlikely university friends become Glinda the Good and the Wicked Witch of the West.
