Starring alongside Girls Aloud singer Nadine Coyle and a cast of over 40 international dance stars, Michael Flatley makes a triumphant return to London for this extraordinary new show at the London Palladium.

Born July 16, 1958 , Michael is the second of five children. His parents emigrated from Ireland in 1947 and settled in Chicago.

Dance was in his blood. His mother and his maternal grandmother, Hannah Ryan, were both champion Irish dancers and Hannah taught Michael his first few steps at the age of four.

At 17, Michael became the first American to bring the title of All-World Irish Dancing Champion to the USA.

Following graduation, Michael opened an Irish dance school and then – whilst supporting himself as a construction worker – began dancing professionally.

He toured with Irish band The Chieftains, and over time developed his innovative style of dance.

In 1993 Michael was commissioned to create an interval act for the 1994 Eurovision Song Contest – and on 30 April 1994 Riverdance was born.

The show went on to take the world by storm and made Flatley a multi-millionaire and one of the most famous dancers on the planet.

After leaving the Riverdance company he went on to create the internationally acclaimed show Lord of the Dance, which premiered on 2 July 1996 in Dublin.

He has gone on to sell millions of DVDs and albums and create other major shows including Feet of Flames and Celtic Tiger.
