Lucy Moss & Toby Marlow interview: Why Am I So Single? (Vogue)

In a sun-filled room in London’s Pineapple Dance Studios, three young actors are being taught music video-esque choreography with a rambunctious troupe. Their giggles bounce off the walls. The mood is buoyant; the chemistry palpable. All of this bodes well: they are about to start rehearsals for the West End’s most relatable new musical, Why Am I So Single?, opening at the Garrick this month, about the messy, magical lives of the city’s unmatched and unattached.

“Most musicals are grand love stories where people fall in love and live happily ever after,” says one of the leads, Glaswegian actor Leesa Tulley, 26. “You’re watching them [as a single person] thinking, ‘Have I got something wrong with me?’”….
