Adam Woodyatt

Adam Woodyatt is an English actor best known for his role as Ian Beale on the long-running BBC soap EastEnders.

Adam Woodyatt is currently appearing as Alfred P Doolittle in the UK tour of My Fair Lady.

Born in London on June 28, 1968, Woodyatt began his acting career in the 1980s; his first stage appearance was in Tom Stoppard‘s On the Razzzle at the National Theatre at the age of thirteen.

In 1985, Woodyatt landed the role of Ian Beale on EastEnders, making him one of the original cast members of the popular soap opera. Over the years, Woodyatt’s portrayal of Ian Beale has earned him critical acclaim, and he has won numerous awards for his work on the show, including several National Television Awards for Best Serial Drama Performance.

In addition to his work on EastEnders, Woodyatt has also appeared in a number of other television shows, including The Bill, Doctors and Casualty. He has also had roles in several films, including Love Actually and The Rapture.

In 2017, he was appointed as a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) for his services to drama.

Adam was also announced to star in the 2021 UK tour of Looking Good Dead.
