Peter Polycarpou and Gary Wilmot join the cast of The Pajama Game at the Shaftesbury Theatre Further casting has been announced for Richard Eyre’s Chichester revival of The Pajama Game, which is playing the Shaftesbury Theatre from 2 May 2014. Peter Polycarpou, Gary Wilmot and Colin Stinton will join the cast of the show, alongside already-announced leads Joanna Riding and Michael Xavier. Peter Polycarpou and Colin Stinton will both reprise their roles as Vernon Hines and Hasler in the show, and Gary Wilmot will join the cast taking over the role of Vernon Hines from 2 June. Lend Me A Tenor The Musical To Close On Saturday 6 August

LEND ME A TENOR THE MUSICAL, the uproarious new musical comedy by Peter Sham and Brad Carroll, based on Ken Ludwig’s award-winning play, which opened at the Gielgud Theatre earlier this summer to some rave reviews, is to close. Despite receiving a series of 4-star reviews and standing ovations, the production’s last performance will be Saturday 6 August.

Lend Me A Tenor is the uproarious new musical comedy which is currently running at the Gielgud Theatre.

The hilarious show features mistaken identities and unexpected romance and is based on the award-winning West End and Broadway hit comedy by Ken Ludwig.

The multi-talented cast stars award-winning actors Matthew Kelly and Joanna Riding alongside Damian Humbley, Michael Matus, Sophie-Louise Dann, Cassidy Janson, Gay Soper, Jane Quinn and Michelle Bishop.

This week sees a number of birthday celebrations, including two American theatre greats: Stephen Sondheim turns 81 after a riotous year of 80th birthday tributes culminating in his Olivier Special Award, and this week marks the centenary of the great Tennessee Williams. Also Priscilla makes it to two years old this week as the Broadway production starts camping it up on the other side of the Atlantic, and Kneehigh Theatre Company follow their acclaimed production of Brief Encounter with another reimagining of a cinema classic, this time French movie The Umbrellas of Cherbourg.
