British production BILLY ELLIOT receives 15 Tony Award nominations. Brits do well in annual theatre awards nominations. The nominations for this year’s Tony awards were announced today in New York. The 63rd annual awards will see the Broadway version of Billy Elliot lead the pack with 15 nominations. Close behind were two productions that originated in the UK – The Norman Conquests, with 7 nominations, and God of Carnage with 6 nominations.
