Dominic Dromgoole will stage a year-long celebration of Oscar Wilde at the Vaudeville Theatre. The former Artistic Director of Shakespeare’s Globe has formed a new theatre company to stage plays of great proscenium playwrights in the venues they were written for. Dromgoole’s first season – The Oscar Wilde Season – aims to offer a much fuller picture of Wilde and reveal the much-loved playwright as the brilliant renegade he was in his own time.
