The internationally acclaimed State Ballet of Georgia, under the leadership of the legendary Nina Ananiashvili, will return to the London Coliseum this July with a world premiere production of Swan Lake

Following a triumphant, sold-out London debut in 2024, the company returns to the West End for a strictly limited run from 17 – 26 July 2026. This season marks a major milestone for the company, as they unveil a lavish new staging featuring handcrafted sets, period costumes, and refreshed choreography.

A Bold New Vision for a Classic

Artistic Director Nina Ananiashvili – widely regarded as one of the greatest ballerinas of all time – has spearheaded this new production to celebrate her 20-year legacy with the company.

“I felt it was time to reinvigorate our production,” says Ananiashvili. “I have commissioned the famous Georgian artist David Monavardisashvili to design the set, painted by hand in the traditional manner. The new costumes by Kirill Gaisin reflect a deep understanding of the period’s history, and I am rejuvenating the choreography to infuse fresh vitality into this enduring classic.”

World-Class dance and Live Music

In a significant highlight for the 2026 season, all 12 performances will be accompanied by the award-winning Royal Ballet Sinfonia. Renowned as the UK’s most prestigious ballet orchestra, their live rendition of Tchaikovsky’s soaring score will bring the story of Prince Siegfried and the Swan Queen Odette to life with unparalleled emotional depth.

The production will also feature guest principal dancers from some of the world’s most elite ballet companies at selected performances, with names to be announced in the coming weeks.
