West End stars lead Clockwork Christmas musical concept album
West End performers Kerry Ellis (Wicked), Peter Forbes (Bengal Tiger at the Baghdad Zoo), Claire Moore (Miss Saigon), Lauren Byrne (UK Eurovision 2025, Matilda The Musical) and Lucie St. Louis (Top Hat, The Phantom of the Opera), feature on Clockwork Christmas, a new eight-song concept album for an original Christmas musical.
Recorded at Abbey Road Studios with a 14-piece orchestra, the album marks an international collaboration between composer Craig Adams (Lift, Thérèse Raquin), lyricist Anton Mouzykantskii and book writer Daria Aksenova.
Inspired by a short story by Nobel Prize-winning German author Heinrich Böll, Clockwork Christmas explores what happens when the festive season refuses to end. After a disastrous family dinner leads to their mother Milla’s breakdown, the Lentz family discovers that her stability depends on recreating a flawless, postcard-perfect Christmas – every night, without exception.
The concept album offers a first look at the musical, blending contemporary musical theatre writing with a darkly festive premise.
