Patrick Marber’s After Miss Julie returns to the London stage early next year, with a new revival at Park Theatre led by Liz Francis, Tom Varey and Charlene Boyd.
Francis (Tomorrow, The Windsors) takes on the title role, opposite Varey (Hamnet, RSC, George Clooney’s feature film The Boys in the Boat ) as John and Boyd (Netflix series Department Q, River City) as Christine.
Directed by Dadiow Lin, the production runs from 11 to 28 February 2026.
First staged in 2003, Marber’s sharp, sensuous adaptation of August Strindberg’s Miss Julie relocates the late 19th-century drama to an English country house in 1945, on the night of Labour’s landslide election victory. The shifting political and social order becomes a volatile backdrop for the power games, desire and manipulation between an MP’s daughter, her father’s chauffeur and his fiancée.
Lin, whose previous work Belly of the Beast earned four stars from The Stage for its “appealingly acidic humour”, said Marber’s play feels “devastatingly now”.
“Marber’s words are raw and tender, full of longing and cruelty in equal measure,” Lin said. “What moves me is its brutal truth — that hope can be both our greatest strength and our deepest wound.”
Produced by KB Productions in association with Park Theatre, the revival features set design by Eleanor Wintour, lighting by Jack Hathaway and sound by Ed Lewis.

Dracapella stars Ako Mitchell (The Lion King) as Dracula, alongside Olivier Award winners Stephen Ashfield (The Book of Mormon), Lorna Want (Beautiful), and Keala Settle (The Greatest Showman). With a cappella mash-ups, slapstick comedy and gothic melodrama, the production promises a playful twist on Bram Stoker’s classic.
