Broadway’s Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is celebrating Halloween in true Slytherin style this year — with a Draco Malfoy look-alike contest on Friday, 31 October 2025. The event coincides with the much-anticipated arrival of Harry Potter film star Tom Felton, who joins the Broadway cast this November to play Draco for a limited 26-week engagement.
The contest invites all ticket-holders for the 31 October performance at the Lyric Theatre (214 West 43rd Street, NYC) to come dressed as the iconic Slytherin character. The first 200 people in line dressed as Draco Malfoy will be admitted early at 5:30pm for a special pre-show event — including a surprise guest appearance!
Every attendee, regardless of arrival time, will be eligible to enter the look-alike contest, so fans are encouraged to bring their best platinum-blond wigs, school robes, and smirks worthy of the Malfoy name. A winner will be selected and announced at a later date, with a unique, one-of-a-kind prize up for grabs.
Tom Felton Returns to the Wizarding World
Tom Felton, who portrayed Draco Malfoy across all eight Harry Potter films, joins the Broadway production from 11 November 2025 to 10 May 2026 only. This marks the actor’s first appearance in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, reprising his beloved role nearly two decades after the final film.
