The sound system failed at yesterday’s matinee for Broadway’s Sunset Boulevard at the St James Theatre in New York, but that didn’t stop Olivier Award-winner Nicole Scherzinger from giving her Norma.
Nicole took to the megaphone to blast out With One Look, and we are there for it.

Sunset Boulevard announced in February that is has extended for a final time in New York, and will finish at the St James Theatre on 13 July 2025.
Directed by Jamie Lloyd, the reimagined staging of Sunset Boulevard opened to rave reviews after beginning its limited run on 28 September 2024, with an official opening on 20 October.
The production, which transferred from the West End’s Savoy Theatre, features a score by Andrew Lloyd Webber, with a book and lyrics by Don Black and Christopher Hampton. The creative team includes Fabian Aloise (choreography), Soutra Gilmour (set and costume design), Jack Knowles (lighting design), Adam Fisher (sound design), and Nathan Amzi and Joe Ransom (video design and cinematography). Alan Williams serves as the music supervisor and musical director. The musical is based on the classic 1950 film by Billy Wilder.
Scherzinger stars alongside Tom Francis as Joe Gillis, Grace Hodgett Young as Betty, and David Thaxton as Max, who all appeared in the West End production. Mandy Gonzalez plays Norma Desmond on Tuesday evenings.
The London production won seven Olivier Awards, including Best Musical Revival, Nicole Scherzinger for Best Actress in a Musical and Tom Francis for Best Actor in a Musical, and the New York production is widely tipped for big wins at the Tonys.
Next up for Jamie Lloyd is a major revival of Andrew Lloyd Webber & Tim Rice’s Evita, coming to the London Palladium for a limited run this summer starring Rachel Zegler as Eva Peron, and current Sunset Boulevard cast member Diego Andres Rodriguez as Che.
Sunset Boulevard completes its Broadway run at the St James Theatre on 13 July 2025.
