Tamsin Greig leads the West End Cast of The Deep Blue Sea at Theatre Royal Haymarket

The full cast has been announced for the West End transfer of Terence Rattigan’s The Deep Blue Sea, running at Theatre Royal Haymarket from 7 May to 21 June 2025. Following a critically acclaimed, sold-out run at the Ustinov Studio in Bath last year, the production is directed by Lindsay Posner and features a stellar cast, including Tamsin Greig, Nicholas Farrell, and Finbar Lynch.

Hadley Fraser and Selina Cadell join the ensemble for the London run, alongside returning cast members Nicholas Farrell (Chariots of Fire, House of Cards), Finbar Lynch (Girl from the North Country), Marc Elliott, Preston Nyman, and Lisa Ambalavanar.

Olivier Award-winning actress Tamsin Greig (Much Ado About Nothing, Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown) takes on the role of Hester Collyer, a woman caught between passion and self-destruction. Hadley Fraser, known for his standout performances in Les Misérables, The Phantom of the Opera, Mel Brook’s Young Frankenstein and Coriolanus, plays Freddie, while Selina Cadell (Doc Martin, Father Brown) portrays Mrs. Elton.

Director Lindsay Posner previously helmed successful West End revivals of Noises Off and A View From the Bridge. The creative team includes Peter McKintosh (Set & Costume Design), Paul Pyant (Lighting Design), Gregory Clarke (Sound Design), and Will Stuart (Composer).

Presented by Theatre Royal Bath Productions in collaboration with Len Blavatnik and Danny Cohen for Access Entertainment, The Deep Blue Sea remains one of Rattigan’s most enduring works, exploring themes of love, despair, and redemption.

The Deep Blue Sea runs from 7 May to 21 June 2025 at Theatre Royal Haymarket, London. Read a round-up of reviews for The Deep Blue Sea at Bath.
