Further details have been announced for Lee Mead’s London concert

Lee Mead will take to the stage at London’s Vaudeville Theatre on Monday, 10 March, for his brand-new concert, The Best of Me. This special performance marks the launch of the Westway Sessions, a new series of exclusive Monday night concerts featuring leading stars from the West End and Broadway.

Best known for his breakout role as Joseph in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Mead will present a selection of songs that have shaped his career. The setlist includes musical theatre classics such as Music of the Night, Any Dream Will Do, From Now On, Bring Him Home, and Close Every Door. Additionally, he will perform hits including Faith, Englishman In New York, Paint It Black, Free Falling, and Walking In Memphis.

Audiences will also be treated to songs from his EP The Best of Me, released in October 2023, featuring The Power of Love, A Different Corner, Crazy Little Thing Called Love, and Immortality, alongside his self-penned single Let The River Flow, co-written with Steve Balsamo and his musical director, Adam Dennis.

Reflecting on his return to the West End stage, Mead said: “Following my recent successful sell-out tour of the UK, I’m thrilled that I’ve been approached to bring my show to the heart of the West End again. The last time I played London with my show was four years ago at the London Palladium. I’ve always wanted to play the Vaudeville after performing there with a concert called The West End Men in 2013. It will suit my more intimate show perfectly, so I hope to see you all there for a great evening of music and another sell-out!”

Since winning the BBC talent competition Any Dream Will Do in 2007, Mead has built a distinguished stage career, starring in Wicked, Legally Blonde, Chicago, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, We Will Rock You at the London Coliseum, and most recently Sister Act at the Dominion Theatre. He has also released multiple albums, showcasing his dynamic vocal talent and musical versatility.

Westway Sessions is an initiative by Westway Music, a label that has become a leading platform for musical theatre stars over the past three years. The series will continue with performances by Cassidy Janson (7 April), Kerry Ellis (21 April), and Aimie Atkinson (23 June), with further artists to be announced.
