London’s Park Theatre has announced its Christmas show for 2024 will be Cyrano by Virginia Gay.
This gender-flipped show sees Virginia Gay as Cyrano as she falls for the brilliant and beautiful Roxanne, and will play the Park Theatre from 11 December 2024 to 11 January 2025.
Virginia Gay’s retelling of Cyrano de Bergerac is billed as a big-hearted, irreverent rom-com, packed with music and wit.
The awad-winning Australian actor and writer brings the show to London following an acclaimed run in Melbourne.
Ahead of London, Cyrano will play the Edinburgh Festival Fringe at the Traverse Theatre.
Other new shows announced for the Park Theatre include an adaptation of Ali Smith’s novel Autumn, from 16 October to 2 November 2024, set in summer 2016 following Britain’s vote to leave the European Union.
