Off-Broadway hit show Titaníque The Musical has set it sights on London’s West End.

Producers Michael Harrison and Eva Price will stage the UK premiere of Titaníque The Musical in late 2024. The juke-box musical parody, based on the hit 1997 film starring Kate Winslet and Leonardo Di Caprio, is set to the tunes of Celine Dion.

Producer Eva Price said: “It has been thrilling to produce Titanique in New York these last two years. The show delivers a balm to the soul; it really is a gift to audiences – near, far, wherever they are. This hilarious new musical has been bringing so much joy to New Yorkers that its time to dock our ship of dreams in international waters. I am thrilled Londoners will soon experience the unhinged delight that Titanique brings night after night to Americans.”

Billed as “a musical celebration that turns one of the greatest love stories of all time into a hysterical and joyful slay-fest.”The show begins when Céline Dion hijacks a Titanic Museum tour and enchants the audience with her totally wild take, recharting the course of Titanic’s beloved moments and characters with her iconic song catalog.

Featuring powerhouse voices and show-stopping numbers (plus, contemporary pop culture and punchy odes to the 90s film), TITANIQUE is a one-of-a-kind musical voyage bursting with nostalgia and heart.

The playlist features songs such as “A New Day Has Come,” “All By Myself,” “Beauty and the Beast,” “I Drove All Night,” “I Surrender,” “I’m Alive,” “If You Asked Me To,” “My Heart Will Go On,” “River Deep, Mountain High,” “Seduces Me,” “Taking Chances,” “Tell Him,” “The Prayer,” “To Love You More,” “You and I,” “Where Does My Heart Beat Now,” and a surprising addition with “Who Let the Dogs Out.”

Co-written by Tye Blue (RuPaul’s Drag Race), Marla Mindelle and Constantine Rousouli, Titanique celebrated its Off-Broadway premiere in June 2022 at Asylum Theater, starring the musical’s co-authors Mindelle and Rousouli as Celine Dion and Jack Dawson.  After several sold-out extensions, the musical transferred to the Daryl Roth Theatre on November 20, 2022.

Titanique won seven major awards during the 2022/23 theatre season, including three Lucille Lortel Awards, the Off-Broadway Alliance Award for Best New Musical, Las Culturistas’ Culture Award for Best Indoor Performance and two Dorian Awards.

Michael Harrison (No. 6 in 2024 The Stage 100 list) is an acclaimed West End, UK and international producer who runs the successful Michael Harrison Ltd production company (Peter Pan at the London Palladium, Hello, Dolly! The Wizard of Oz), and new partnership Lloyd Webber Harrison Musicals with Andrew Lloyd Webber (Starlight ExpressSunset Boulevard).

Dates, venue and casting for Titaníque The Musical in London to be announced.

Eva Price also announced the show will open in Canada – debuting in Montreal at the Segal Centre for Performing Arts from October 27 – November 24, 2024, followed by an engagement at Toronto’s CAA Theatre from December 5, 2024 – January 12, 2025.  This all-Canadian production of the off-Broadway hit of titanic proportions will star an authentique real-life Québec star – Véronique Claveau – as Céline Dion.
