The Orange Tree Theatre in Richmond has announced casting for its revival of Noël Coward’s Suite in Three Keys.

Orange Tree Artistic Director Tom Littler directs Stephen Boxer, Emma Fielding and Tara Fitzgerald in a rediscovery of Coward’s trilogy.

Tom Littler said today: “Suite in Three Keys is an exquisite trio of plays representing Noël Coward’s final work for the theatre. Dating from the mid-1960s, these plays have all of Coward’s trademark wit and verbal invention whilst confronting themes of mortality, sexuality and honesty with remarkable daring. I’m delighted to welcome Tara Fitzgerald back to the Orange Tree after her excoriating performance in Duet for One, and to introduce OT audiences to the remarkable talents of Stephen Boxer and Emma Fielding.”

The trilogy of three plays will see Stephen Boxer (Lucky Man, The Iron Lady, Under The Hammer) play Hugo Latymer, George Hilgay and Verner Conklin; Emma Fielding, known for TV roles in Cranford and Foyles War, plays Hilde Latymer, Anne Hilgay and Anna-Mary Conklin; and Tara Fitzgerald will play Carlotta Gray, Linda Savignac and Maud Caragnani.

Well-known for her TV role as Dr Eve Lockhart in BBC’s Waking the Dead and spin-off series The Body Farm, Tara Fitzgerald is a veteran of more than twenty television films and series including Jane Eyre, The Virgin Queen, The Woman in White, The Tenant of Wildfell Hall and The Vacillations of Poppy Carew.

The creative team is completed by Designer Louie Whitemore, Lighting Designer Chris McDonnell, Sound Designer Tom Attwood and Associate Designer Jessica Statton.

Suite in Three Keys runs from 24 May to 6 July 2024. Following its run at the Orange Tree Theatre, Suite in Three Keys – A Song at Twilight will run at Theatre Royal Bath from 9 to 13 July, as part of its new season.
