Annual theatre event Magic at the Musicals has revealed further details for its September 2024 event at the Royal Albert Hall.

Celebrating the best in musical theatre, the evening promises to feature leading cast members from the West End and beyond.

Additional shows now confirmed include Burlesque The Musical, which is playing in Glasgow and Manchester in September to November; the new touring production of Calamity Jane starring Carrie Hope Fletcher; Mean Girls The Musical, which is now playing at the West End’s Savoy Theatre; and Operation Mincemeat, which is playing at the Fortune Theatre.

New guest stars announced for Magic at the Musicals include West End stars Kerry Ellis (Wicked) and John Owen-Jones (Les Miserables).

The initial line-up, announced in March and April, included the cast of the current UK tour of An Officer and a Gentleman The Musical; new West End musical Hadestown; the touring production of Disney hit’s Aladdin and Disney’s long-running West End show The Lion King; current touring productions of Dear Evan Hansen and Hairspray; and long-running hit shows Mamma Mia!, SIX the Musical and Tina – The Tina Turner Musical.

Also Magic at the Musicals radio presenter and West End star Ruthie Henshall will be returning as host for the event alongside comedian and presenter Jason Manford – the pair hosted the event in 2022.

Also performing this year will be the London Musical Theatre Orchestra.

Magic at the Musicals will take place on Sunday 22 September 2024 at the Royal Albert Hall in London.
