The best London theatre plays running during Christmas 2022 on the West End stage, including smash-hit dramas, comedies and thrillers.
There is something very special about heading into the West End in December to see the Christmas lights, and to see a London Theatre show.
The West End serves up a dazzling range of plays this year, from intense drama, to hilarious comedy and nail-biting thrillers.
Major new family entertainment includes the RSC’s new stage adaptation of much-loved animated movie My Neighbour Totoro at the Barbican Theatre; and a sumptuous production of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe at the Gillian Lynne Theatre.
Superb plays for adults running over the festive season include David Tennant starring in GOOD at the Harold Pinter Theatre; and
Long-running plays for families and children include long-runner Harry Potter and the Cursed Child at the Palace Theatre; hilarious comedy The Play That Goes Wrong at the Duchess Theatre; and imaginative and epic play Life of Pi at the Wyndham’s Theatre.
Also this Christmas sees the return of the Old Vic’s acclaimed retelling of Dickens’ A Christmas Carol.
