A Strange Loop

A Strange Loop

Sorry, this show is not currently booking.

A Strange Loop, Michael R Jackson’s Pulitzer Prize for Drama winning musical receives its London premiere, directed by Stephen Bracket (Be More Chill).

Set to a bouncy Broadway beat with vibrant songs and cutting lyrics, this razor-sharp musical ‘would have your grandparents leaving the theatre humming. That’s if they hadn’t walked out before’ (New York Times ). It’s a timely, quirky, comically entertaining metafictional piece about identity, race and sexuality.

A Strange Loop is rumoured to open in London’s West End in 2022.

What’s the Story?

It’s just your atypical musical about an overweight, black gay writer called Usher, working a day job he hates while writing his original musical: a piece about a black, gay writer, working a day job he hates while writing his original musical.

A blistering, momentous new show that follows a young artist at war with a host of demons — not least of which, the punishing thoughts in his own head — in an attempt to capture and understand his own strange loop.
