Filmed at the Globe Theatre in 2018, this rarely performed play featured in Michelle Terry’s first season as Artistic Director of the Shakespeare’s Globe.

An erratic tragicomedy attributed to John Fletcher and William Shakespeare, The Two Noble Kinsmen examines love in all its fluid and complex forms.

Directed by Barrie Rutter, this late romance is set in pastoral ‘Merrie England’ and is brought to life with original music composed by acclaimed folk musician Eliza Carthy.

The Two Noble Kinsmen  features Olivier Award winner Matt Henry (Kinky Boots The Musical), Paul Stocker (Atonement), Bryan Dick (Eric and Ernie, BBC; Joe Orton Laid Bare, BBC), Ellora Torchia (The Split, Indian Summers) and Sue Devaney (Coronation Street, Jonny Briggs, Casualty, Dinnerladies).

A Globe Theatre YouTube Premiere this production of The Two Noble Kinsmen is available to watch from 7pm GMT May 4 2020 until 17 May 2020.

How long is forever? When the imprisoned Palamon and Arcite vow eternal friendship, they don’t expect that anything will come between them. But then from their cell window they see the beautiful Emilia, and their priorities take a sudden and violent turn.
